TLSC Doru celebrates National Legal Services Day 2024

Doru, Anantnag November 9, 2024: Tehsil Legal Service Committee Doru today celebrated National Legal Services Day in collaboration with Govt Model Higher Secondary School Dooru , students from various besides panel lawyers, Ld Bar Members participated in the function.

Chairman TLSC Doru Miss. Aarizoo Javaid Rather in her address said "The National Legal Servises day emphasizes empowering marginalised communities" she highlighted the importance of equal access to justice. The programme started at 11:00 Am and was concluded at 2 PM. The programme was attended by Principal Govt Model Higher School Dooru Tariq Hussain Sheikh, President Bar Association Dooru Mir Mohammad Hussain, Panel Lawyers of TLSC, Bar members of Dooru and the students of the different Schools.
The students spoke on the theme “Justice, Equality and Dignity for All ” The students from different schools delivered their speeches. In his welcome note Senior member of the bar Farooq Ahmad Ganai threw light upon the Legal services available to the people and appealed participants particularly students to carry forward the message of free legal Aid for marginilised section of society to their families, communities and fellow citizens.
Chairman TLSC Dooru also aware the general audience about the legal rights available to the people in common through the legal aid services. The role of panel lawyers was also appreciated. President Bar association Dooru also highlighted the benefits of the legal services. Students were provided participation certificates and also three position holders were given certificates. The programme was made successful by the joint collaboration of the Tehsil Legal Service Dooru and Govt Model Higher Secondary School Dooru. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Advocate Irshad Ahmad Khan.
