Follow along as Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One's Public Information Officer Tina Curran takes you through 16 weeks of fire academy with Recruit Class 2020-1.

In the first two weeks, recruits learned military protocol, drill & discipline, fire service history and integrity, safety, personal protective equipment/self-contained breathing apparatus skills & emergency procedures, and search & rescue.

A great start to a season where these firefighters will test their skills academically, mentally, and physically.
