We all start with wearing all the hats but how you approach getting yourself out of the minutia roles can impact how you elevate up the chain of your own business.

You need to start with the end in mind. As as an entrepreneur you want to visualize where you want to be and then work towards that, step by step, outsourced position by outsourced position (taking off the hat).

But it's unrealistic to start there. And if you skip steps along the way, taste the top, and then get sucked back into the minutia it can often be worse. Because by then you've lost the drive or interest, or even skills, to do that work or those tasks again. This is where I see burnout happen.

Approach scaling with intention. Be systematic with hiring positions that continue to allow you to elevate and focus on the high-impact work you like doing. Train each position, give them feedback, and manage them well so that you don't have to do the work and the business continues to grow without you having to do everything.

Then as the CEO you can work on generating new business and growth opportunities while the business operates itself. You get to fill your own funnel. This is where the magic happens!
