Watch in HD! After a protracted planning phase involving a lawsuit filed by a local environmental group, Metrolink finally started working on construction of the 32 mile long Perris Valley Line a year and a half ago. During the construction phase I was in college, but I got back just in time to get the final test trains that were operating on the line before service started on June 6th. Featured in this video are Metrolink trains operating on the Perris Valley Line both before and after the line opened, including never-before-shot locations in the Box Springs, March Field, Hunter Park, and much more! Also included is a brief look at operations near Riverside Station, including one of three ex GO Transit F59PH's operating on Metrolink.

In the next few months the BNSF engines currently serving as cabcars and the leasers are expected to be purged as the new F125's come into service so expect this area to change quite dramatically. I'll be along capturing as much of this line as possible as it undergoes this transition in both motive power and operations, and be sure to stay tuned for future updates!
