Copper plate photogravure printing with chine-collé

Описание к видео Copper plate photogravure printing with chine-collé

A photogravure plate is simultaneously printed on Gampi tissue and laminated to Cartiere Magnani Velvet Suede Paper.

Two tablespoons of Zen Shofu (Japanese Wheat Starch) was dissolved in 1/2 cup of distilled water. This was added to two cups of distilled water preheated in a double boiler. The mixture was whisked for ten minutes, cooled, thinned and strained just to the point that it passed through an airbrush without spitting. The paste should sit on the surface of the paper and not saturate it. The paper should feel very tacky after the paste has been reactivated in the damp pack.
