When I begin to handicap a big game the first thing I do is look for the best defense. Clearly its the Florida Gators in this matchup. They gave up 20 points to Alabama and just 10 against an explosive Georgia Bulldog offense. Oklahoma gives up nearly 360 yards a game on offense. Sure Oklahoma is a very explosive offense but so is Florida behind Tim Tebow and company. Another option on offense is gone for Oklahoma as running back DeMarco Murray is out with an injury. For all the hype the Big 12 has been getting lets face it the defenses were below par. When a non-BCS school holds you to your fewest points of the season you have to scratch your head. Is Oklahoma really as good offensively as the numbers suggest or are the defenses they are facing pretty bad and skewing them? Oklahoma is a great program but Florida is better. Florida will make more stops than the Sooners in this contest. Take Florida 3.
