What a way to end 2015 on Spike! Our final PBC on Spike card of the year, hosted at the Pearl Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, featured four fights, 6 undefeated fighters and plenty of action.

Gervanta Davis vs Luis Sanchez
Chris Pearson vs Eric Walker
Isiah Thomas vs Murat “Iron” Gassiev
Rances Barthelemy vs Denis Shafikov

The first bout of the night between Gervanta “The Tank” Davis and Luis Sanchez was a scheduled 10-round fight but it ended in the 9th round when a big left hand by Davis send Sanchez to the canvas. The fight was stopped shortly after and Davis was awarded the TKO victory. He remains undefeated.

"I just listened to my corner and Floyd, took my time and broke him down," said Davis after the fight.

The second fight of the night was an 8-round bout between undefeated warriors Chris Pearson and Eric “Baby Faced Assassin” Walker. It was clear from the start of the fight that neither fighter wanted to give up his "0," but in the end, Walker walked away—pun intended—with the unanimous decision victory.

Walker, who had previously spent 13 years of his life behind bars, had this to say after his victory: "If you believe in God and work hard at what you do, you're going to succeed. Look at me now."

Our co-main event of the evening between Isiah Thomas vs Murat “Iron” Gassiev began slow but picked up speed into the second and third rounds, however a couple of hard shots by Gassiev after the bell at the end of round 3 sent Thomas wobbling back to his corner. Shortly thereafter, the ref called the fight off declaring it a no contest.

Despite the stoppage, Thomas feels he would have won, given the chance, stating "I would have won this fight, he fouled me and they stopped it."

Our main event of the evening between undefeated Rances Barthelemy and Denis Shafikov was a scheduled 12-round bout for the vacant 135-pound title. Despite Barthelemy's 6-inch height advantage, Shafikov appeared to be holding his own for much of the fight, however the fight took a turn after round 8 when a large bloody cut formed over Shafikov's right eye. The fight went the distance and the judges ended up awarding Barthelemy with the unanimous decision victory. He remains undefeated.
