..do you like this alternate colouring style? i have another friend who likes the rendering that i do for my personal or similarly simpler illustrations, so like..... a bunch of screentones everywhere ontop of colours that are (themselves) consistently.. covering? though sometimes i feel like i want to do something more free than that. im not sure if youre able to tell, but for my cover of DECO27s song marshmallow, i used mainly translucent screentones. selectively dulling colours together can make them look much more coherent and interesting sometimes.
similarly, using no screentones (wether its scribbly or less so like in this one) can be a nice change of pace!
voki is a very scribbly person. i think it shows in my traditional art alot? particularly realism, which i dont believe im that good at, but the people around me say otherwise.
