The FAI & Cork Youth Services Late Night Leagues were winners in the Active Community Awards 2021.

This is an ongoing yearly campaign organised in partnership with the FAI, Youth Work Ireland Cork and Foróige that has targeted 500 young people across Cork city. The weekly soccer sessions and tournaments improve relations within the community between stakeholders such as the Gardai, Youth Workers & local community members.

The campaign which is ongoing for the last 5 years is enjoyed by the young people and encourages them to be physically active. This is a grass roots campaign that is organised locally and benefits so many stakeholders from youth projects, local communities and families. It provides a sense of occasion and inclusion that many of the young people that participate may not usually get to experience.
