How to make compound bow strings and cables

Описание к видео How to make compound bow strings and cables

This video shows you how to make endless loop bow strings and cables.
Preferred string materials = BCY-X, 62xs .021 diameter center serving, Halo .014 diameter end serving.
24 strand string.
After the production of this video, I began adding twist to the strings and cables before serving the ends, which I recommend doing. There are some other things I do differently as I gained more experience, and the following suggestions I received from a viewer "string twister" are helpful, so I will quote him below. I'll try to record a newer version of this video to show you some of the updates I've made. Anyway, here is the quote from String Twister "Twist your strings before you stretch them. 1 twist for every 1" 1/2. Take a piece of a dowel rod and make you 2 string splitters, (wax the wood before use) place them in the ends and the string between the colors. Black on top blue on bottom. It should twist from the middle out. When you twist on say the top end the dowels will cause it to twist from the middle out. Next tip after twisting and stretching, (take a scrap piece of string material and close the end loops, after the serving is started it can be removed.). Now start serving at the post and serve the same direction as you twisted (I go clockwise). Start at the end then do the center serving, STS, and then the other cam end. What you should be doing is serving from one post to the other. This should help your peep rotation and you will notice it doesn't try to unravel on you."
