Government inspectors have found around two dozen more farms with eggs contaminated by pesticides,... bringing the total to over 60.
The government plans to finish inspecting all the nation's farms by today.
In the meantime, some stores have started selling eggs again -- ones that have been tested and approved -- but it looks like a while before supplies on the shelves will get back to normal.

The eggs crisis continues to grow in Korea...
There are worries among consumers who are still afraid to buy eggs... which can be seen by the drastic fall in sales.
As the fipronil and bifenthrin-tainted eggs are causing a nation-wide egg scare in Korea... people are avoiding eggs and other products that contain eggs... especially after it was revealed that eggs labeled as 'environmentally friendly', were in fact not environmentally friendly at all.

Moderate levels of pesticides have been detected in eggs from a total of 66 farms,... including 62 that have been selling eggs certified as 'environmentally friendly'.
Some have been found with harmful amounts of substances, while others were judged suitable for sale, but without the certification label.

Major retail stores have resumed selling eggs on Wednesday afternoon...only a day after removing them from shelves due to worries about pesticide-contaminated eggs.
E-mart was the first of the major supermarkets to restart sales on Wednesday.
It displayed eggs from farms that were confirmed to be clean of pesticides.
Lotte Mart also began selling eggs from government-inspected farms,... with convenience stores and online retailers doing the same.

Meanwhile,... the government has revealed the second set of results from the ongoing inspection and has announced that it will complete its inspection of the remaining egg farms by Thursday,... and its inspection of eggs that have already reached distributors by Friday.

As of 5PM Thursday... eggs from a total of 31 farms were found to have dangerous levels of pesticides.
Fipronil was detected on 7 farms, while bifenthrin was detected on 21 farms.
Other types of pesticides not cleared for use on poultry were found on three other farms adding to already high concerns.
Consumers are advised to avoid eggs that originate from those 31 farms.
The Korea Institute for Animal Products Quality Evaluation...has provided a website service where people can check which eggs they need to avoid... with detailed information about the origins of the contaminated eggs.
