What's the difference between a music therapist, a music teacher, and a musician? Chances are if you're a music therapist, you've been asked this question at least once (if not 100 times!) during your career. The beauty of music is that it is inherently therapeutic, even without intentionally setting goals. However, a music therapist can maximize all the benefits music provides. I’ve been in each of these roles at some point in my life and, in my opinion, the biggest difference between all of them is the PURPOSE and INTENTION behind the use of music.
