The Harrow and Wealdstone rail crash occurred on October8,1952, during morning rush hour at Harrow and Wealdstone station in Wealdstone, Middlesex (now Greater London). It was the worst peacetime rail crash in the United Kingdom, with 112 people killed and 340 injured, 88 of whom were hospitalised.

An overnight express train from Perth collided head-on with the rear of a local passenger train on the station's platform. The driver of the Perth train had passed a caution signal and two danger signals before colliding with the local train, according to a report by the Ministry of Transport.

There were 112 fatalities, including the Perth express's driver and fireman, as well as the driver of the Liverpool express's lead engine. 102 of them died on the spot, and the other ten died later in hospital from their injuries.
