High School Classes that Prepare You for Nursing School

This video discusses high school classes to take if you want to go to nursing school to become a nurse. If you're still in high school, now is a great time to prepare for nursing school. You should first ensure that you're on the "college path." This will ensure that you take classes needed for college (nursing school). By doing this, you can avoid having to take remedial courses. Next, you want to take as many sciences as you can (biology, chemistry, etc.). Next, consider any type of health science class, such as anatomy & physiology, CPR, first aid, medical terminology, and other classes.

In addition, consider joining a health club such as HOSA. Another way to gain an advantage is to knock out any prerequisite courses while you're still in high school. Finally, don't forget about CLEP exams (see video below). These exams can help you test out of courses without actually having to take them.
