And now for something completely different... well, mostly different. I stumbled across this footage of US forces from the Persian Gulf Command while looking for ETO film. According to the slate, this was shot in July 1944. It is possible this was shot at (or near) Shaibah, Iraq, as there was an RAF Airfield there. The related footage looks to have been shot in nearby Basrah, Iraq. Footage also includes some shots from the docks of Khorramshahr, Iran with transport vessels containing lend-lease items for the USSR.
