Defense Attorney REFUSED to Rephrase Her Question!

This was a pretrial deposition.
It was a question and answer session.
This was a medical malpractice case.
My client was being questioned by the defense lawyer.

The lawyer asked my client a question.
I objected.
It was a poorly worded question.
It didn't make sense.
I asked the lawyer to rephrase her question.
It was a simple request.

She refused.
She wouldn't budge.
It was a control issue for her.
She refused to give up control.
She wouldn't change the wording of her question.
She was confrontational.
She felt there was nothing wrong with her question.
I disagreed.

The way to solve this impasse is to simply rephrase the question and move on.
She refused.
She looked as if she was reading off a script.
I think she was afraid to ask a question that deviated in any fashion from her 'script' of questions that she needed to cover.

She was being unreasonable.
I wasn't blocking the topic from being discussed.
I wasn't blocking her from asking in general about the topic.
I did have a problem with the question and how she worded it.
Anyone reading the transcript of the question would be confused by any answer my client gave.
They wouldn't be able to determine whether my client's answer referred to the first part of the question or the second part.
