Bacnotan is a coastal municipality in the Province of La Union located just beside the famous surf town San Juan and less than 30 minutes drive away from La Union’s capital San Fernando City.

Positioned along Luzon's western coast, the town features historical landmarks such as the Bacnotan Church, tracing its origins to the Spanish colonial period.

Agriculture and fishing play vital roles in the local economy. Bacnotan is a popular beach destination among locals and tourists from different provinces in the North. Its beaches is also starting to become a favorite surfing spot just like its neighboring town San Juan.
