An Idea for a Deliverance Prayer for oneself, for the Family and/or People we care about

Beloved Lord Jesus, I ask this for - (myself, for my family, as well as ... List the people you want to include...)

Heavenly Father I come to you now in Jesus’ name, to repent of all the sins in my life and in the lives of my ancestors, that may have resulted in a curse. I come before You today profoundly aware of my utter dependence on You. I grieve that Your name is not honored, and Your will is not done on earth, and I long to see Your kingdom come into power and glory. Father, today I pray... 'Deliver us from evil.'

In the name of Jesus and by the power of His precious blood, His suffering, His death and His resurrection, I break with all evil forces that want to harm us. Submit yourselves to the Lord Jesus Christ and do not return to us!

Our Lord Jesus Christ commands you, Satan, and all your demons to go where He has appointed a place for you. Depart from us, for we are children of our Heavenly Father. We are part of the Body of Christ. We are a temple of the Holy Spirit. We were ransomed by the Precious Blood of Jesus so that we might glorify God with our bodies. Therefore, you, Satan, have no rights over me, over my family and over my house. I and my house will serve the Lord!

I ask the Lord to forgive the old sins of our ancestors, parents and relatives. I hand them all over to Jesus Christ, and on behalf of our ancestors, parents and relatives, I forgive all those who have hurt them.

Likewise, I ask forgiveness for all our own sins and make a firm resolution to forgive all those who have hurt us. May the precious blood of our Lord Jesus cleanse us from all our sins and free us from the bonds of unforgiveness, as well as from curses and sin.

1. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of selfishness, obstinacy, defiance, self-exaltation, independence from God, rejection, being unwanted, loneliness, unbelief, doubt, disobedience, rebellion, apostasy, heresy and blasphemy.

2. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of anger, bitterness, resentment, hatred, unforgiveness, revenge and murder.

3. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of fear, worry, tension, discouragement, timidity, dejection, frustration, disappointment, despair and suicide.

4. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of self-hatred, inferiority complexes and nervousness.

5. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of lust, masturbation, homosexuality, fornication, adultery, rape, incest, prostitution, animal urges and seduction.

6. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of lust that comes to us through thoughts, words and actions, through our eyes, ears, nose and tongue, through the sense of touch, through hands, feet and sexual organs.

7. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of worldliness, sensual pleasure, addiction to alcohol, smoking, tobacco, drugs, gambling, video games and harmful music.

8. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of attachments to persons and things.

9. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of craving for fame, power, position, wealth, as well as the spirit of avarice and material possessions.

10. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of laziness, hedonism and gluttony.

11. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of pride, boastful arrogance, self-conceit, prejudice, unhealthy competition, jealousy, vain self-aggrandizement, comparison and partiality.

12. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of idolatry, witchcraft and sorcery, black and white magic, superstition, occultism, esotericism and the New Age movement, and all the forces of evil that have taken possession of us through them. (e.g. by worshipping false gods, by visiting non-Christian places of worship, by astrology, psychics, numerology, channelling, by making horoscopes, by palmistry, by consulting the dead and by using lucky amulets, tarot cards and mandalas, through scrying, yoga, zen meditation, reiki, chakras, table pushing, Bach flowers, I Ching, automatic writing and spirit healings by spirit guides, through regression to a past life, through keeping occult objects in the house and through similar esoteric and occult practices)

13. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of judging, condemning, calumny, humiliating others, gossiping, arguing, and mistreating.

14. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of deception, fraud, deceitfulness, hypocrisy, lying, flattery, bribery, injustice and theft.

15. In the name of Jesus, I/we break with the spirit of unbelief, sacrilege, atheism, doubt, materialism and consumerism.
