Nancy Pelosi claims ‘Trump has dementia’ while defending Joe Biden

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has claimed Donald Trump “has dementia” during an interview with CNN.

The 84-year-old spoke to CNN host Dana Bash on Sunday as she defended US President Joe Biden.

During the interview, Bash asked Pelosi if she believed the 81-year-old should step down as President.

“My people are very much Biden-Kamala Harris, and this is an opportunity for Joe Biden to go out there and show he has the stamina,” she said.

“And by the way, while the press and for some reason they don‘t - there are health care professionals who think that Trump has dementia, that his connection, his thoughts do not go together.”

Pelosi added she and other lawmakers who are “up close” to Biden assert the President is aware of the issues Americans face.
