KK's last rites have finally begun now at the Versova Hindu cremation ground. Several celebs as well as the late singer's family are present in his final journey. Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, fondly known as KK, passed away after a concert in Kolkata on May 31. He was 53 years old. After his performance at Nazrul Mancha, Kolkata, he went to his hotel where he fell ill. The playback singer collapsed and was rushed to a private hospital in the city. He was "brought dead" to Kolkata's CMRI Hospital around 10 pm. KK's body was brought to Mumbai on Wednesday, June 1, evening. His last rites will be performed at the Versova Hindu cremation ground.
