Team Limp Mode - LDRC 2024 Race 9 @SMP Pro - Session 1 - Doug

It was a rough night after race 8. Post race inspection found all 4 engine mounts were either loose, broken bolts/ or torn, carrier bearing for the half shaft was toast, brake rotor was complete toast, and the hood cable stopped working. We got everything replaced however there was still a random small cluck. We figured it was the torn front engine mount. But it wasn't.

Doug went out with 3 new new tires. Was getting vibration from the passenger side. We swapped tires left to right thinking it was a wheel balance issue. Still there. We replaced the suspect back wheel and still had the issue. After 40 mins of racing, smoke in the cabin, came into the pit and the CV boot ripped getting grease all over the exhaust. Went into cold pits and found out the vibration was from a failing inner axle on the passenger side.

07:24 Doug came in, we rotated passenger tires front to rear. Hoping its wheel related.
11:55 Back on track, problem still there.
20:43 Back in the pits, swapping to a spare tire used in race 8.
22:27 Back on track, problem is still there but not as bad.
