At the India Today Conclave, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his zero-tolerance policy towards corruption. He emphasized that all agencies are empowered to investigate corruption cases freely. For instance, until 2014, only 1800 cases were registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). However, under his administration, there has been a significant increase, with 4700 cases registered in the past 10 years. Additionally, he highlighted the substantial increase in the attachment of properties involved in corruption cases, from 5000 crore before 2014 to one lakh crore during his tenure. PM Modi also commended the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) efforts in arresting individuals involved in terror funding, cybercrime, and narcotics, as well as attaching properties worth 1000 crore. He criticized dynastic parties and warned that the ED's rigorous actions would pose challenges for the opposition.
