An Early Warning System in action

Описание к видео An Early Warning System in action

One of the ways in which we can prevent dropout is by using Early Warning Systems (EWS) that trigger the right type of support at the right time. But, what exactly is an Early Warning System? It’s a data-driven method of preventing school dropout that uses a traffic light system to flag learners who are showing signs of disengagement. The Zero Dropout Campaign’s NGO implementing partners use Early Warning Systems in the schools they work with in various parts of the country. Based on the work of the New Leaders Foundation (NLF), the Zero Dropout Campaign has developed a simple EWS tracking tool that can be used by schools to deal with dropout.
In this video, the representatives of the Khula Development Group (KDG) — one of the Zero Dropout Campaign’s implementing partners — demonstrate how an EWS is linked to psychosocial and other support structures.
