Honda CX500 - Ignitech Installation step by step.

Just as I was about to MOT the CX500 the old girl stopped sparking, right as I was loading her onto the trailer. After much testing and checking, and with thanks to the guys on the CX500forum.com and the motofaction website, which were a massive help, I diagnosed a fault on the stator causing no power to be sent to the CDI. I could either change the stator - engine out, or replace the CDI with an ignitech unit that isn't powered by the stator, but directly by the battery. I chose the latter.
