In this thirteenth hour of the Pokémon X & Y Wondersleeplocke Versus, Marriland and Sephazon both take on Gym Leaders, but things escalate rather quickly for one of them, tossing a wrench into their plans.

The WONDERSLEEPLOCKE VERSUS series is a Wonderlocke (Nuzlocke variant) challenge streamed live on Twitch (  / marriland  ) from September 27th–28th. The goal was to playthrough an entire Wonderlocke without falling asleep in the real world; that's what makes it a WonderSLEEPlocke. And we streamed the entire dual-adventure live. This video is a roughly hour-long excerpt from the stream; because of that, it may start and end somewhat abruptly.

There aren't any overly challenging rules or restrictions being implemented since the main challenge of this series is staying awake long enough to complete the game, while also under pressure to finish before the other player. As such, the level limits are loose, the use of O-Powers is accepted from Passersby and Acquaintances, and Mega Evolution is absolutely allowed.

RULES of the WONDERSLEEPLOCKE:
• Fainted Pokémon are considered dead and must be released or permaboxed (we permabox in this case).
• You can only catch the first encounter in any route or area (except the forced Pidgey on Route 2 and Snorlax on Route 7). These must immediately be Wonder Traded away after they are caught, with an exception being made for the starter Pokémon, which is Wonder Traded AFTER your second encounter is Wonder Traded and only after that received Pokémon is at level 5 or higher (to prevent having to train two level 1s).
• Dupes Clause: If a Pokémon is received from Wonder Trade is one whose evolution line has previously been received from Wonder Trade, that Pokémon must be re-traded until a new Pokémon is received. (Dupes Clause does NOT apply for the first encounter in an area, just what you actually GET over Wonder Trade!)
• Level limit: While loosely enforced and, in this case, intentionally set several levels higher than the Gym Leader's highest level Pokémon, the level limit requires the player to deposit any Pokémon that surpass that limit. Pokémon received over Wonder Trade higher than the limit must be re-traded. The level limit is shared between players.
• Luvdisc and male Combee must be re-traded if they are received over Wonder Trade because they're really not useful and we both agreed on this.
