1-hour rural ambient sound recording (field recording), taken in the Ardennes region of Belgium in July 2016, containing various birds, gentle sounds of water drips from trees, and a distant, fast-flowing river running in the valley beyond

Relaxing countryside nature sounds, great for study, meditation or work. This is authentic, unaltered ambiance which I recorded personally on location.

The Ardennes is a hilly and forested region located mainly in the southern part of Belgium, but also Luxembourg, France and Germany. The area is renowned for its natural beauty, and contains many picturesque villages, castles and other places of interest.

In 2016 my wife and I took a road-trip to Belgium from the UK, and stayed in a self-catering BnB (shown in the pictures) for a few days whilst we spent some time visiting various local attractions. This recording was taken from a windowsill at the rear of the accommodation, looking out over the forested valley which contained a fast-flowing river, which you can hear in the recording.
