Hi guys,

In this video I take you through and benchmark the new performance rendering option added to Ironsight in a recent update, and show you a comparison between it being disabled and enabled. The results for me are quite significant in some areas, with around 30fps increases if not more! It also results in a far more stable frame rate, which in most cases is more important in contributing to a smooth experience compared with an actual FPS boost.

As a benchmark I take a quick walk through Downtown, the largest and least optimised map in the game, using this new Thread Rendering option turned off and then on, and show you the results.

Essentially Wiple added multi-threading CPU support. They were able to do this due to a big game engine update, which should also bring with it other improvements in the future. Previously Ironsight only ever utilised a single core of your CPU for rendering. It still uses very little GPU resources, but its CPU utilisation is much better now with the new "Thread Rendering" option enabled! Results will vary depending on your CPU/PC spec's of course.
