Watch out The ghost of emission scandal seems to be following Volkswagen everywhere. Now it’s turn for Volkswagen India to be haunted by it. The company has already been issues a notice by the National Green Tribunal over a plea seeking to ban the sale of vehicles made by the company in the country.

The NGT has issued a notice to the central govt as well in this regard. Now in this tight spot Volkswagen has decided to recall 327,300 diesel cars powered by EA 189 series engines.

The recall includes 198,500 cars from Volkswagen, 88,700 cars from Skoda and 36,500 cars from Audi across various models sold in the country. According to Volkswagen, it has already presented ‘outlines of possible solutions’ to the Ministry of Heavy Industries and ARAI. Once they get approval on those they would take necessary steps to solve the situation.
