EUNIC Austria is organising its third European Music Festival, which comprises three musical events in three European cultural institutes, from 29 September to 1 October 2020. This time, our festival is dedicated to "Multilateralism at work in Vienna". On the occasion of 75th anniversary of the United Nations, we wish to highlight the import role of the European Union has as defender of rules-based effective multilateralism. The EU continues to lead in upholding international norms and agreements that provide global public goods and protect future generations. The EU demonstrates leadership in pursuing an innovative agenda in areas in need of strengthened multilateral governance or where new challenges require collective action, taking advantage of the EU's normative capacity, autonomy and influence. The EU is also a global point of reference for those who want to preserve, reform, and expand multilateralism, in order both to ensure peace and security, as well as to cope effectively with these contemporary global challenges.

EUNIC (EU National Institutes for Culture) is a network of national institutes for culture and ministries of the European Union established in 2006. Through cooperative projects in the fields of intercultural dialogue, multilingualism, arts and civil society, EUNIC aims at increasing the visibility of cultural diversity in the EU, promoting the EU’s cohesion as well as promoting the European values.

EUNIC Austria organisiert vom 29. September bis 1. Oktober 2020 sein drittes europäisches Musikfest, das drei musikalische Veranstaltungen in drei europäischen Kulturinstituten umfasst. Dieses Mal ist unser Musikfest der Initiative „Multileralism at work in Vienna“ gewidmet. Anlässlich des 75. Jubiläums der Vereinten Nationen, möchten wir die wichtige Rolle der Europäischen Union als Verteidiger eines regelbasierten, effektiven Multilateralismus hervorheben. Die EU ist weiterhin führend im Schutz künftiger Generationen und in der Aufrechterhaltung internationaler Normen und Vereinbarungen, die globale öffentliche Güter zur Verfügung stellen. Die EU beweist Führungskraft in dem Streben nach einer innovativen Agenda in Bereichen, welche eine stärkere multilaterale Governance erfordern oder wo durch neue Herausforderungen gemeinsame Maßnahmen notwendig sind. Dabei macht sie sich ihre normativen Kapazitäten, ihre Autonomie und ihren Einfluss zunutze. Die EU ist außerdem ein globaler Bezugspunkt für all jene, die Multilateralismus erhalten, reformieren und ausbauen wollen, um sowohl Frieden als auch Sicherheit zu gewährleisten und die globalen Herausforderungen unserer heutigen Zeit effektiv bewältigen zu können.

EUNIC (EU National Institutes for Culture) ist ein 2006 gegründetes Netzwerk nationaler Kulturinstitute und Ministerien der Europäischen Union. Durch kooperative Projekte in Bereichen des interkulturellen Dialogs, der Mehrsprachigkeit, von Kunst und der Zivilgesellschaft, versucht EUNIC die Sichtbarkeit der kulturellen Diversität der EU zu erhöhen und den Zusammenhalt der EU sowie europäische Werte zu fördern.
