In this episode of Travel Man Dan I go exploring in a marvelous independent republic organized for artists in Vilnius, Lithuania called UZAPIS!!!

This episode was so much fun to film! Because I had never heard of or seen such a place like this. Its a small section of streets and buildings just outside OLD TOWN Vilnius that is real life Bohemianism hot spot. The fact that they are considered a republic baffled me and I had to investigate some more while on my adventures throughout Lithuania. (https://bit.ly/2rjhuiK)

In this episode you'll see me walking around this tiny republic and all the cool and interesting sights along the way. You will see the fascinating constitution of Uzapis, which is really wacky and has some really funny principles. In the center of the square you can see the monument that signifies the artist way of Uzapis. And another side trip up the wrong road leads me to one of the most beautiful overlooks you will ever see in the world!

I would also like to advise you if you are thinking about checking this place out for yourself- definitely do, but do not expect some crazy wacky place like Venice Beach, California. Uzapis is laid back and chill and the sights to take in are wonderful. But the overall mystery of this unique place is the most exciting part. So take a stroll around and enjoy, but remember to adhere to the constitution.
