Swimming in pools or beaches without protection can lead to serious infections like acanthamoeba keratitis, which may cause vision loss. Prolonged UV exposure can also contribute to photokeratitis, cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration. Protective measures include wearing sunglasses with 100% UV protection, wide-brimmed hats, using sunscreen, and staying hydrated.

Rainy Season: Dirty rainwater can lead to conjunctivitis, microsporidial keratitis, redness, watering, discharge, and gritty sensations. Maintaining eye hygiene is crucial.

Winter: Dry, cold air can cause eye flare-ups and irritation. Tear substitutes can help keep your eyes moisturised and comfortable.

Spring: Pollen and dust from blooming flowers can trigger allergic conjunctivitis in both children and adults. Cold compresses, tear substitutes, and timely medical consultation can help manage symptoms.
