Today we're going to review part number C55560. This is the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the four-way flat trailer connector. This is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 2005 to 2006 Chevrolet Equinox and Pontiac Torrent. Now on a custom fit part, what I always recommend for you to do is to go to our website, use our fit guide, put your year and model vehicle in there, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now this part provides this four way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailers signal lights. This does connect very quickly and easily, there's no cutting or splicing wires. Basically all you have to do is locate your connection point in your rear cargo area, plug this into the connector back there, have your white wire attached as a ground, and then put your fuse into the fuse holder and then you'd be ready to plug your four way into your trailer to get lights on your trailer. It does include this tail light converter right here. And this is to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer.

This converter is instructing using SMT technology, which is surface mouth technology, gives you a consistent reliable performance. It'll maximize your trailer light yield and intensity while producing minimal heat. It'll also give you superior operation in any rough, rouge conditions. Another nice thing is that is it does come with this dust cap for the four way, so when you're not plugged into your trailer you can just attach your dust cap to the plug, and then just go ahead and put your cap over when you're not plugged in and that cap will protect the terminals from any damage from the elements themselves. Few specs on this. The maximum amperage for the stop and turn light circuits is 3 amps per circuit. And the max on the tail light circuit is 6 amps total. It does come with everything shown here, it has a nice set of detailed instructions that instruct you how to install it and even gives you pictures of where your connections are. But basically when you go to install this, what you'll want to do is go to the rear cargo area, and you access the connection point that this will match up to. Go ahead and plug this in.

Once that's plugged in you have your white wire with the eyelid on it. Take your included ground screw, and go ahead and drill a hole. And go ahead and ground that wire. And then they include the 10 AM fuse, so what you'll do is open up your in line fuse holder, go ahead and put your fuse in there, and then go ahead and put the cap back on there. Now they do also include some double sided tape that you can use to attach your converter down. You want to make sure your converter doesn't bounce around. So you can use the tape.

They also give you some larger cable ties that you can tie it down with also, and then some smaller cable ties to take up any length of wire that may be hanging down.
