Two of the more prominent evangelical Anti-LGBTQ voices right now are Sean McDowell and Preston Sprinkle. They represent the most common arguments why most Christians still refuse to affirm LGBTQ people.

Recently they sat down together for a conversation about things such as gender pronouns, using the term "gay Christian," and more.

I think it's important to stay abreast of what the evangelical crowd is currently up to in their efforts to hold fast to the non-affirming perspective. So I sat down, watched their convo, and took some notes.

The TL;DR is this: I think both these guys are good people. I've met them both and I trust they are doing their best to live out their convictions. In our interactions (as well as when I've seen them interact with other affirming Christians) they are charitable and hospitable.

That being said, I think their beliefs on these matters are woefully misguided.
And contribute to the ongoing harm and suffering of LGBTQ people.
