Cleaning Out My Parrotlet's Cage

This was a request video and since I was due to clean out our Pacific Parrotlet Ella's cage I thought I'd show you the way I clean it out so that it doesn't take very long but provides a more thorough cleaning then trying to wash everything individually.

For disinfectant I use a 50/50 water and vinegar solution. This is to spray and wipe down both the cage and toys. As I hose down her cage on a weekly basis I typically disinfect plastic toys and perches biweekly as she is an indoor bird and the only one living in this cage. Plus many of her items stay clean on a weekly basis as she has a lot of space and lots of things to keep her busy. Boiling wooden toys and rope perches is a great way to disinfect those as well.
