About Chota Kailash-

Located at the top of a hill in Bhimtal block of Nainital district, Shiv Temple Chhota Kailash.To reach here, you have to reach Pinaron village via Haldwani via Amritpur, Bhaursa by road. is. After climbing 3-4 km from Pinaron village, you reach the top of the hill where there is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva.

Beyond the Pinaron, this road leads to Jangligaon via Banana village. A steep climb from the Pinaron takes the footpath to Chhota Kailash. Pinaron is also a village made of houses with hill architecture. Food and drink can be taken from the only shop present here for the further walk. Tea-Maggi is also available in this shop.

It is believed about Chhota Kailash that Lord Mahadev once came here in the Satyuga. Lord Shiva and Parvati rested on this hill during their Himalayan excursion. Due to fumigation on Mahadev, Akhand Dhuni is being burnt here since then. It is believed that by reaching here and worshiping Shivling, the wishes of the devotees are definitely fulfilled. On completion of the vow, devotees offer bells and silver parasol here.
