Nutrition plays a very important role in our life; from the time a child is born in the womb and it continues even after birth. Lots of importance should be given to nutrition as it is important for our health.

The Nutrition Cooking Demonstration program was organized by B.Sc Nursing Second Semester students which was held on 22nd November, 2022.

Objectives Of the Programme:

1. To make people aware of their nutritional needs.
2. To promote teamwork.
3. To establish desirable food and nutrition for promotion and protection of good health.
4. To increase knowledge and awareness of nutrition.
5. To provide correct information on the nutritional value of foods.
6. To gain knowledge regarding different methods of cooking.
7. To apply theoretical knowledge in practice.

Activity Performed:
Different diets prepared by the students along with their group name:

Group- A (Protein Power): Diet For PEM
1. Chicken Stew
2. Sprout Salad
3. Soyabean Curry
4. Mixed dal

Group- B (Himur Heshel): Diet For Anemia
1. Banana Flower Fritters
2. Chikki (Peanuts & Jaggery)
3. Spinach paratha
4. Kulekhara juice

Group- C (Sugar Free): Diabetic Diet
1. Upma
2. Chana dal
3. Oats Chilla
4. Mixed vegetable salad

Group- D (Evergreen): Renal Diet
1. Vegetable Soup
2. Dalia Khichadi
3. Watermelon juice
4. Fruit salad

Group- E (Sahoj Pak): Hypertensive Diet
1. Banana shake
2. Vegetable sandwich
3. Multigrain chapati
4. Mixed vegetable
