Festival Kolam - Welcome to Learn Kolam Channel ... kolam is an artisanal piece of rice flour made outside the front door of the house.

It is usually done by the women of the house early in the morning every day. In Diwali, Hindus draw bright Rangoli patterns on the floor by the front door to decorate the goddess Lakshmi to enter their homes.

Rangoli is an art that originates in the Indian subcontinent, in which floor patterns are produced in living rooms or courtyards using materials such as coloured rice, Dried Flour, Flowers, Diyas ... the object of rangoli is decoration and is thought to bring good luck.
