If you want a bike with a healthy sounding exhaust without getting yourself in conflict with the law, the Expres500 would be at the top of your list. Not as bassy as modified pipes, the sound is crisp and vibrant. I would like to note, however, that there were too many backfires when decelerating on this particular test bike, as you can hear in the recording. Usually not a big deal (backfires on acceleration, now that's big deal) and can be easily fixed by mechanics.

If the rhythmic pattern sounds familiar, that is because of its 180° crankshaft which is the same firing order as that of all Kawasaki Ninja twins and the Honda Rebel 500.
