The state of Florida has become known as one of if not the best state when it comes to high school football talent. The amount of talent that has come out of the state over the past two-to-three decades is truly amazing and something very few states can compete with. While a few other positions have seen some special names come through the Florida high school ranks, cornerback in particular is a position that has a rich history of players. These players have gone on to have success at both the collegiate and professional levels. The 2023 cycle is no different with 7 players already having the five-star ranking and 20 players being ranked within the 247-sports composite top 100 players. The player that tops the list could be the greatest high school corner to ever play in the state and may also be the next Sauce Gardner. That Player is Cormani McClain.
