Hiking History on The Florida Nature Coast

Описание к видео Hiking History on The Florida Nature Coast

Exploring the history and wilderness along the nature coast of Florida by the Suwannee River. There was a homestead in the area during the 1800’s I could see remains from the old cemetery which I believe is an infant grave. There may be other people buried here but only one tombstone remains so it’s to know. What is left of the cemetery has been preserved and is looked after when possible. The only recorded grave as of now is this infant burial from 1889 who is Walter Miller Owens. May he rest in peace and I’m an honored to check in on this site from time to time. Now part of a nature preserve near the Suwannee River the area is great to explore and hopefully remains undeveloped for many generations to come. It’s just one of many layers of history throughout these places in old Florida.
