Kiara was contemplating a beautiful landscape when Simba appears, they talk and fall in love. Then Kovu, who was also in love with Kiara, challenges Simba, so he hurts Kovu by leaving a scar on his right eye. Kovu cries. Simba laments and leaves with his father. Kiara's father also takes her home. Zira sees Kovu crying and asks what happened to him, then he explains what happened. Zira adopts him.
Simba talks to his father about what he had done and that he was sorry, so Mufasa tells him that he shouldn't have hurt Kovu, that there are other ways to fix things. Simba then promises his father that he won't do it again.

Kiara estaba contemplando un hermoso paisaje cuando aparece Simba, hablan y se enamoran. Luego Kovu, quien también estaba enamorado de Kiara, desafía a Simba, entonces él hiere a Kovu dejándole una cicatriz en su ojo derecho. Kovu llora. Simba se lamenta y se va con su padre. El padre de Kiara también la lleva a casa. Zira ve a Kovu llorando y le pregunta que le había pasado, entonces él le explica lo sucedido. Zira lo adopta.
Simba habla con su padre sobre lo que había hecho y que estaba arrepentido, entonces Mufasa le dice que no debió lastimar a Kovu, que hay otras maneras de arreglar las cosas. Entonces Simba le promete a su padre que no lo volverá a hacer.
