Repairing a worn hub seal shaft using a SKF Speedi Sleeve on my Daimler Ferret

Описание к видео Repairing a worn hub seal shaft using a SKF Speedi Sleeve on my Daimler Ferret

Despite fitting two new hub seals to one wheel station on my 1959 Daimler Ferret Armoured Recon Vehicle to rule out a seal issue, It has suffered from a persistent oil leak on the wheel hub. To try and fix this i've fitted an SKF speedi - sleeve to the shaft where the seal runs. Hopefully that has solved the issue! It now seems to be leak free a couple of weeks after fitting it, so i'll report back if the leak reappears in the future!

I used an SKF Speedi Sleeve part no. 99437, but you should always measure the shaft you've fitting it to and get the correct part for your vehicle. More info can be found on the SKF website here: https://www.skf.com/uk/products/indus...

If you're looking for a UK supplier i recommend Acorn Industrial Services - just because they provided me with excellent service!
