How I Base Things!

Once a miniature is painted, it's not really quite yet finished - it needs a base! People regularly ask how I finish the bases on my own miniatures, and the answer couldn't be more simple. When picking a basing scheme for your army, there's two choices: do you want some uniformity with a 'basic' base that fits with others in your local gaming area, or do you want something that'll set off and compliment the miniatures? Even a very simply painted figure like an Iron Hand, a Necron or a silver Stormcast Eternal can be made to look all the sharper with a base that adds a little colour to the overall presentation without having to broaden the palette on the miniature itself, so have a think about how you want your figures to look on the table!
