Nova Motorcycles-A Trio of Triumphs

Check it out, we've got one, two, three Triumphs in the shop this week! A 1953 Triumph Thunderbird, 1963 Triumph Trophy, and 1967 Triumph Trophy.

Sayre walks us through the progression of these bikes from the early 1950's to the late sixties, just before Honda came onto the scene and redefined the industry.

But before we get into all of that, Sayre has and admission. He doesn't like Triumphs! There, he said it, its out. No backsies.

Actually, Sayre does like Triumphs... just not as much as Velocette's, BSA's, and Norton's. Just image the trifecta of cool–Marlon Brando, James Dean, Steve McQueen on Velocette's, BSA's, and Norton's. Those boys coulda gone places.

Anyhow there's a lot to talk about this week including, Bert Hopwood, Edward Turner, push rod tubes, pre-unit and unit construction, magnetos, nacelles, single-leading shoe, double-leading shoes, and full-width brakes. Oh my!
