Dr. Madhumati on duty, is a romantic hospital comedy where Debina Bonnerjee aka Dr. Madhumati, a strict no nonsense Bengali doctor who doesn’t believe in love is the new doctor in Jud Jug Jiyo hospital and as soon as she enters makes sure that all the staff concentrate on their work and nothing else. On the other hand Dr. Mohan (Vipul Roy), a doctor who completely believes in love has also been appointed to Jug Jug Jiyo hospital. As soon as they see each other, sparks flies and Madhumati remembers that he was the same person who left her at the mandap at the day of their wedding and she wants Mohan to leave the hospital and not work here. What is the reason behind Dr. Mohan leaving Dr. Madhumati although both loved each other equally and probably are still in love with each other? So now starts an interesting romantic journey where Dr. Mohan tries all ways to win over Dr. Madhumati and the show will also have patients coming and Dr. Mohan and Dr. Mahumati's each have their own ways of solving the cases.
