Danny Alexander heckled at stormy Glasgow No to Scottish independence rally

A Cabinet minister is heckled and an MP says he was “threatened with a bullet” at a stormy No campaign rally in Glasgow.

Danny Alexander was heckled and George Galloway said he was “threatened with a bullet” at a stormy No campaign rally in Glasgow on Monday night.

Half a dozen protesters walked out during the debate organised by WorkingforScotland.org in Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall.

Danny Alexander, the Chief secretary to the Treasury, and George Galloway, the Respect MP, shared a platform at the People’s Question time rally.

The rally – which went on for two and a half hours – was punctuated by loud heckling by protesters, some of whom walked out.
