The DarkRoom

In this world we are are living in today, we think that when it comes to God‘s purposes for our life, when it comes to God‘s destiny for our life, when it comes to our walk with Christ and him transforming us into his image that is going to be like our selfies that we uploaded to social media. We expect that image should be uploaded and exposed to the entire world in a matter of seconds.

We believe that our walk of Christ is a snap and upload walk with him. We get a glimpse of what God has called us to do or who God is in us and we expect it to happen that very second. We get an idea of who God wants us to be and we want to display that image of who he is through us right now in this very second and upload it for the whole world to see. We think that image of who God has called us to be should happen instantly.

We give our lives to Christ, we make him our Lord and savior. He tells us who we are, and instantly we are that we are gifted therefore, we must use our gifts immediately and effectively, and we should have everything that God has promised and that very second… But it doesn’t work like that.

We can not build our destiny like we build our social media account.. God will NOT instantly place everything on you and then upload you into the World.

The Lord develops us in the dark room. He gives us a glimpse of who we are and instills the picture in our heart and in our minds like taking the picture on the camera with film. Then He takes that film He takes our life and He puts us in a dark room and he makes us go through many processes in order to take his image, and put it on us and develop us so that we reflect His image.

It isn’t about what we are going to do for him. It is about how we can be like him.
It isn’t about how many likes we get on Facebook or Instagram or TikTok it’s about how we are like Him. It is not how many followers we have or how many times our video has been shared, but it’s about how many followers He has because of the image of Him they saw in us.

He puts us through processes us until his image is inside of us so that when the doors open and we step out of the dark room, we will not be destroyed by the light. We will not be destroyed by everything that shines on us. We will not be destroyed by everything that can influence us and change us.

We are stuck in the mentally that we can bypass the process and learn to snap and upload faster and quicker and use filters to cover up the issues instead of dealing with the issues. We have a culture around us telling us that there is a filter that can cover up every issue you have. You don’t have to fix yourself if you can cover it up.

When you try to bypass the process then the spotlight that is on you will destroy you because the light has not yet developed in you. He has not been developed in you so that you can withstand the light that is on the outside. He has not been developed in you so that you will not be destroyed from the outside in
