Описание к видео How to Crochet The Linen Stitch (Moss Stitch) | Learn to Crochet with Modern Made

The linen stitch is an easy crochet stitch if you are a beginner as it is just a pattern of chain 1s and single crochets. While the linen stitch seems to be the most common name for this crochet stitch, it is also sometimes referred to as the moss stitch, granite stitch, and woven stitch.

For the linen stitch, you'll need to know how to chain and work single crochets. The linen stitch is basically just alternating chain 1s with single crochets on repeat. You will always be working the single crochets into the chain 1 space in the row below, and the chain 1s above the single crochets in the row below.

The linen stitch can work very well with many different yarn weights and textures and can be used to make just about anything- so get creative!

The Linen Stitch Pattern
Begin with a chain of an even number of stitches.
Row 1: In the 4th chain from hook, single crochet. *Chain 1, skip 1 chain, single crochet in the next chain. Repeat from * across. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 2 . In the next chain 1 space, single crochet. *Chain 1, skip 1 single crochet, single crochet in the next chain 1 space. Repeat from * across. Turn.
Note: The turning chain counts as a chain 1 space so the last stitch of each row will be worked into the turning chain of the previous row.
Repeat row 2 until your project reaches your desired length.
