I’ve been living on Yamdena Island, East Indonesia for 6 weeks, and one question kept following me:
How do people survive on an island this remote..especially when it comes to food?
Today my mother-in-law invited us deep into the jungle to visit her friend’s farm (nearly 7 acres). Getting there was wild… rain, mud, narrow jungle roads, and totally off-road driving.
On the farm we found fresh coconuts, peanuts, cassava leaves, dragon fruit, soursop, cashew trees, and more..plus a look at the simple farm shelter and how they cook using an open fire.
This vlog is real remote island life..no fancy stuff, just pure village vibes. 🇮🇩
