Part One: In winter Sholto made his first bow from Oak. It went without a hit and so he decided to make another one; I would film and document the process. Making it up as we went along, many days were spent filling the house with sawdust.

A little insight into a laborious process; this is by no means a tutorial. In this film you will see many of the mistakes and pitfalls of learning by doing, which in hindsight are amusing to us.

All of the woodworking skills he is learning as he works, a set of carpentry tools were gifted to him half way through the bow build, by a friendly builder who was working on the house.

Part Two: The bow making does not end here and we will continue with this film until we can lose some arrows.
